Sponsor: MHRI and GHUCCTS
Time: 12 - 1:00 PM
Location: Live Stream Only
Speaker(s):  Moshe Levi, MD.

Moshe Levi is interim Dean for Research and, since 2017, Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular and Cellular Biology at Georgetown University. Trained as a chemical engineer, physician and nephrologist, he previously held faculty positions at UT Southwestern and at U Colorado. His NIH-supported research has focused on renal, hepatic, and cardiovascular complications of obesity, diabetes and aging; regulation of mineral metabolism; nuclear and G-protein coupled receptor mechanisms lipid metabolism, cardiometabolic diseases, and fibrosis; and the application of advanced imaging techniques. His research, mentorship, and many collaborations span disciplines, diseases, and stages of translation. He leads the boards of directors for the Kern Lipid Conferences and the American Physician Scientists Association and serves on the editorial boards of Diabetes, J Biological Chemistry and Am J Physiology.
