Megan Huizenga had first author editorial review accepted!

Megan had a first author editorial review describing the summary of proceedings from the October 2017 conference held at Stanford, regarding the current state of the field for cannabinoids as epilepsy therapeutics accepted in the journal: Epilepsy & Behavior.

She organized this with the Epilepsy Foundation.  The foundation recognized a burgeoning increase in the research, clinical trials, and patient use of cannabis-based therapies. Therefore they sought to organize a conference bringing together key researchers, clinicians, and patient advocates, to discuss what the current state of the field if, where it is going, and questions that have yet to addressed/answered.

Megan volunteered to be the project manager for the conference working closely with Brandy Fureman at the Epilepsy Foundation and our two co-chairs: Ivan Soltesz PhD and Nephi Stella PhD, both prominent researchers in the field.

Their paper was accepted to Epilepsy and Behavior last week.  Be on the lookout for their paper; Proceedings of the Epilepsy Foundation's 2017 Cannabinoids in Epilepsy Therapy Workshop.

Congratulations, Megan for your hard work!
