Joey Posner has received an F30 NRSA training fellowship! @neuro_mudphud

Congratulations, to our trainee Joey Posner, MD/Ph.D. candidate. His hard work has led to him receiving an F30 NRSA training fellowship that will fund his tuition and stipend through both of his degrees.

His project attempts to understand the neural reading network as it pertains to the cognitive model of reading by isolating the components of reading in the brain and looking at how the functional connectivity changes while reading different types of words. The project then looks at those who have an altered reading network, due to a stroke that causes altered reading performance, to determine if the differences in reading network connectivity relate to the differences in reading performance.
